Martin miller

I struggled to create sustainable happiness for myself through years of competitive bodybuilding. After yo-yoing back and forth between being painfully regimented with my diet and the gym, and eating everything in sight during the off season, I knew I needed to figure out how to find balance so I could stay fit while actually living my life.
Over the past decade, I’ve been through the trial and error of figuring out how to create a healthy balance of staying on track with my fitness goals, while also enjoying the moments with friends and family that I wouldn’t have been able to if I was confined to eating every meal out of Tupperware and doing daily doubles at the gym.
The goal with my online coaching program is to teach you what I had to learn the hard way. I'm here to guide others to a holistically happy life, where they can elevate their fitness while living their lives outside of the gym to the fullest. This means still enjoying a couple beers on the weekends, traveling to new places, spending plenty of time with your family, and still making progress on your physique.
I've learned a lot from my successes, and learned even more from my failures. Let me make this easier for you than it was for me.

  • After our initial one-on-one intake call, I will be continually assessing your progress. This will be through check-ins that include your progress pictures, weight, energy levels, and overall program feedback. We'll be messaging back and forth consistently, and have video calls as needed throughout the program.

    You'll never be left hanging - I'm here to push you and help with any issue you may have. YOU got this, WE got this.

  • Anybody can tell you to eat chicken, rice, and broccoli. It would probably work, too (depending on your goals). But in no world is that a sustainable diet. I wouldn’t do that myself, so I would never do that to you. You will receive personalized, diverse, delicious, macro-balanced meal plans to help you meet your goals without sacrificing your quality of life in the process.

  • I’ve been in the gym since I was 12 years old – I’d like to say I’ve gotten pretty good at it. I know what works and what doesn’t. I will be giving you the workout program that I wish I had from the beginning, but tailored to YOU.

  • Message me through the app about any and all questions you may have throughout the program. I will always get back to you ASAP. We'll also schedule video calls to touch base as needed.

    Just like they say in couples counseling, communication is IMPORTANT. It's important for you to tell me when you're killing it on plan, and arguably more important for you to tell me when you've fallen off. Neither of us should be stuck guessing.

why my coaching is different

My program is EXTREMELY hands on. We’ll be communicating constantly, and I’ll be making adjustments to your plans frequently based on your progress.

My priorities as a coach are:

  1. Teaching you why we do everything we do, so you’ll never need to hire a coach again

  2. Learning where metabolism where it actually is, not just where some online calculator says your metabolism probably is, so we can make progress while staying as lean and strong as possible

  3. Creating diet and workout plans that you can stick to with your lifestyle so you don’t have to give up beers on the weekends to make and maintain progress

    “I’ve been training off and on for several years before I met Martin. I went from super skinny at 5’11” and 145lbs to around 165 while remaining relatively lean.

    I originally started working with Martin because I had some stubborn fat that I was have difficulty dieting off. After accessing my macros and lifestyle, he explained that I had slowed down my metabolism by under-eating, so even though my calories were very low, I wasn’t losing fat because my body had adjusted and was burning less calories.

    He recommended that I rebuild my metabolism by increasing calories instead, and focus on a body building routine that would build more muscle mass, in turn burning more calories.

    Working with Martin taught me that I can regulate my metabolism. I developed a feel for how fast my metabolism is. I made it extra difficult for him regarding my macros due to my lifestyle and eating out at restaurants and other social settings, but we still managed to make good progress.

    I also put on a ton of muscle, something I didn’t think was possible. I started around 165lb and bulked close to 200lbs, while remaining relatively lean.

    We’re currently on a cut now after about a year of lean bulking. Martin is super helpful with adjust macros and making sure we find a good balance without tanking my metabolism.

    I’m very happy with all the help Martin has provided. He’ll do a weekly call to check up on progress and answer and questions, and is available for additional calls when questions come up.

    He tailors the workout plan to your progress, tweaking it after every time we talked if necessary. Lots of support either over the phone, video call, or text. Super friendly and awesome guy as well. Will do in person workouts if he’s traveling through your location!! Definitely recommend.”

It won’t be numbers driven only – when you join 1:1 coaching, we will make sure you change your lifestyle. Your eating and training plans will be sustainable, consistent and most importantly, enjoyable. A personalized check-in process will ensure that you are moving towards your goals and through direct chat and video calls, I can support you on every step of your journey.

  • You could buy yourself a McDonald’s combo meal for lunch every day for a month, or buy yourself a month of 1:1 coaching with me (and feel a whole lot better about it) for the same price.

  • Everyone’s body reacts and adapts to exercise in different ways, so we will be working with you at a pace that works best for you. The training will be broken down into phases to ensure you are progressing towards your goals and training at the right intensity.

    I have had some clients achieve the results they’ve wanted in a matter of weeks, some in a matter of months – both dropping vast amounts of body fat but all at different rates. Results are dependent on numerous factors like your tailored nutrition and workout plans, commitment in- and outside the gym and how much work you put in.   • Your nutrition is the most important part of your new journey. Plans should be sustainable and enjoyable. I want to help you to make lifestyle changes rather than simply adhering to boring or strict diets! To achieve the results you want, it is important to create a healthy balance between having a good relationship with food and developing an understanding of what you have to pay attention to (i.e. portion sizes, calories, macros).

    You will get access to a huge number of tasty meal options for each meal of the day. You’ll also get a recipe and ingredients breakdown for each meal which helps massively if you have minimal cooking experience or you have never tried to make a certain meal. These meals will consider any allergies, preference, or dietary restrictions you have (i.e. celiac, lactose intolerant or vegan).

  • Of course you can! I can create a plan around your preferred location and fit around your goals and lifestyle.

  • You can track all progress and measurements through my app on your phone. This includes photos, to weekly weigh-ins, sleep, diet, motivation or water intake. That way I can monitor your progress and make any necessary adjustments to your goals or plans.

  • You decide. You tell me how much time per week you have for training and what your goal is. Then we will make a plan so that exercising fits into your routine best.
